ANCESTRY & ETHNICITY...

Joshua Hardin is of Apache Indian, Choctaw Native American, African and Scottish descent.

Josh Hardin   The Apache Indians are known for being fierce fighters, skilled warriors & strategists, keen artists and strong in spirit (as accurately documented here by Spike TV's - The Deadliest Warrior series - CLICK HERE TO VISIT SITE). Apache are related to the Navajo Indian Nation / Tribe. The Apache Indian Nation occupied the American Southwest, from the Arkansas River down to northern Mexico, and from central Texas to central Arizona. The Apache have inhabited these native North American regions since 1100 A.D. The Apache are also known for their artistic baskets, beadwork, sculpture, weaving and silversmithing. Apache Indians use symbols, designs, patterns and geometric shapes to represent ideas, emotions and beliefs. Symbolism prevails throughout Apache arts and crafts. Everything from clothing to pottery was made with functionality in mind. Painting on pottery told stories, and specific clothing represented Apache fighting skills and prowess. Turquoise, which represents good fortune, is incorporated into much of the art of the Apache.

The Choctaw Indian Nation was one of the largest and most advanced tribes in all of North America. The Choctaw were preeminently the articians and agriculturists of the southern Indians. Though brave, their wars in most instances were defensive, protecting their people and lands. Among many other forms of artistry and ingenuities, Choctaw Indians specialize in making cleverly crafted beadwork, jewelry, necklaces and artistic baskets.
